Key Concepts
Tenant. Organizational or functional units are separated in tenants that operate independently, ensuring isolation and customization based on specific needs or requirements.
MediaAsset. The central concept - the API provides fully featured media asset management functionality for video, audio and document assets.
Channel. Authorization can be configured on channel level. Hence, a unified and simple way of organizing content and permissions. Essentially, making a channel public or keeping it private allows for easy publishing of content.
Metadata. This is were we “dive" in, the audiovisual content of the assets is automatically indexed and usable as metadata. This powers the advanced search and recommendation features, but can also be used stand-alone, e.g. for making transcripts available.
Entries. Efficient consumption of videos and audios requires structure, entries allow basic clipping with annotation but are designed to enable also more complex workflows.
Stories. At Streamdiver they come in two flavours. Create a static story to provide basic “chapterization” of an individual asset. Interactive stories enable branching video flows based on user interactions and supplementary information as overlays.
Livestream. In addition to the static MediaAsset shown above, the API provides management functionality for live video content to enrich live events.
